Film: "Home Straight"
Bloodhound SSC is a unique, high-technology project. Designed and constructed in the UK, Bloodhound SSC includes components and sponsorship from international companies. The challenge was to capture the excitement of the challenge, the frustration of delays, the precision of the engineering, and the strength of teamwork.
Our goal
To create a video suite for the UK's 1,000mph world land speed record engineers, consisting of:
- a promo that appealed to potential investors as well as be educational to all ages; in essence, to be the heart of the project
- a PR video that outlined the benefits of becoming a Project Sponsor by making the car and the component parts the stars of the piece
- an editorial piece for The Manufacturer, acknowledging manufacturing success and courage with a journalistic approach.
What we did
We devised and filmed three videos to showcase the Bloodhound project team as they design and build a car that will break the 1,000mph barrier and set a new world land speed record. This was a one-day shoot, a three-day edit, and two days' pre-production.
OUTCOME
The promo and PR videos are being used on Bloodhound's website to create interest in the project, and the editorial piece is being showcased on The Manufacturer's website.
Such an exciting challenge for all involved - we were humbled to be a part of history in the making. It was hard not to get caught up in the buzz surrounding this superb feat of UK engineering genius!
