"LPFA Members Forum"
The opportunity
London Pensions Fund Authority was formed in 1989 as part of the Local Government Pension Scheme. In 2016, collaborated with Lancashire CC to form the Local Pensions Partnership. LPP is a pension service provider of some of the largest local government pension schemes in the UK. In 2019, their Fund Member Forum was to be held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. We were asked to film the day, incorporating the speakers, audience and also the reception area where members congregate around various different stands. The highlights were to be released to members who were unable to attend and also to be placed on their website.
Our intention
Our task was to provide event highlights with plentiful investor information for members who were unable to attend. The video would also be placed on their website.
Our work
Prior to the forum commencing, we filmed both exterior and interior aspects of the building which has some great features. We then set-up cameras in the main hall to film the speakers, which included Dame Esther Rantzen, and LPP board members), but also the pension scheme members in the audience. Following the main event, several interviews were conducted with the speakers, but also of the members and their reactions to the investor information they had just received. All the footage was skillfully edited into informative, but very much a warm, personal and human story of the Fund Member Forum.
Outcomes for our client
LPP were very happy with the Members Forum highlights. They were able to place the video on their website for non-attending members to see and for those who had attended, to review. The video remarkably illustrated the real value of pensions and how their performance affects ordinary people living in retirement.
