Film: 'Standing Up, Standing Out'
OUTstanding is a not-for-profit professional network for LGBT executives and their allies. They promote the talent of LGBT executives and encourage them to be themselves. The challenge was to build interest in the article in the Business First Magazine and the work of OUTstanding.
Our goal
To create a Teaser film piece for Business First article on OUTstanding by:
- highlighting key points of the magazine article, revealing the core principles of the network and its membership
- adding media authenticity by enlisting the help of an experienced journalist.
What we did
We filmed the entire magazine interview as if it were a TV interview and edited together highlights to trail the topics of the written article. Then, on a cold day, we filmed our journalist, Nick, as he did his top and tail outside their central London offices.
Finally, we took B-roll footage inside their offices. The production was a half-day shoot, a one-day edit, and around a day of pre-production and stills research.
OUTCOME
It's a little too early for results yet, but Business First is happy with the piece and it's now in use on their website.
Superb fun working with Suki - we predict a seat in parliament before the decade's out!
