Branding and explainer videos for FinSimCo

The opportunity

Finsimco is the UK's biggest specialist financial training simulations provider. For three years, it's developed an innovative range of financial simulations based on real world. Complex financial transactions the firm needed to position itself against larger. More horizontally integrated providers. And to underscore the value of its specialist approach.

The intention

Our task was to bring to life the dramatic and gamified nature of Finsimco's highly specialist financial training. Our special challenge was that much of the new software was still in development, and we had to use creative techniques to get around its invisibility.

The work

Over multiple days we filmed in London, Docklands, Singapore, Amsterdam, New York and Paris, using different camera people and tech to a unified visual brief. The joining glue was a split-screen layout, combined with strong brand colours. This approach enabled visuals which portrayed the complexity and multiple points of view which are central to the multiplayer gaming platform.

We also filmed a range of case studies clients, business schools, students, and a wide variety of users, to reveal the extensive capabilities and power of the firm's dramatic software. We comprehensively deployed the videos throughout their website.

The outcome

The result was considerable improvement across a range of KPIs. Our video suite became the front of Finsimco's online presence, leading to measurable upticks:

As simulation training rapidly grows worldwide, Finsimco's dramatic use of gamified simulation has given them an edge. Prior to our videos, that edge was invisible. After, the firm's proposition leapt, and cemented their reputation as the disruptor of conventional online training. Our video suite stood as a testament to the power of marrying cinema with insight - engendering a story that doesn't merely tell, but compellingly sells.
